Why Forza10 food has heart-shaped tablets

Food composition · · Forza10

Turmeric, maitake mushroom, aloe vera, mallow and rosemary on white stone

Most bags of Forza10 Active VetDiet don’t just hold kibble. They also hold heart-shaped tablets. You’ll recognise them in the bowl by their shape. They are part of the food, and you don’t need to add anything.

Why separately

The heat of kibble production would damage botanical actives. That’s why they are pressed separately, cold, into heart-shaped tablets. The manufacturer calls this patented process the Active Fresh System, AFS for short. So your dog gets botanical actives undamaged by the heat of kibble production.

How many tablets are in the food

The tablets make up 7% of the mix. In the composition you’ll find them as the AFS tablet, with its share and a list of what it contains. It is in the composition of 12 of the 13 diets; GASTROENTERIC active doesn’t have it.

What’s in the tablet

In most diets the base of the tablet is similar: potato protein, minerals and hydrolysed animal protein. The botanical actives differ from diet to diet. Here are a few examples straight from the compositions:

Diet Botanical actives in the AFS tablet
DERMO active aloe vera gel, mallow, blackberry
ECHO active rosehip, linden
INTESTINAL active rosehip, psyllium seeds
PERIACTION active maitake, turmeric, papaya, pomegranate, aloe vera
RENAL active Lespedeza, cranberry, bearberry leaves

The table shows only part of it. The full composition is on each diet’s page.

How to choose a diet

The tablet is only part of the recipe. A diet is chosen by its particular nutritional purpose, which each one has on its label. You’ll find them all in the overview of diets, and you choose together with your vet.

It is recommended that a veterinarian’s opinion be sought before use or before extending the period of use.
