About Forza10 food
Dietetic food that grew out of veterinary research into food intolerances — since 1996
In 1995 the Italian veterinarian Dr Sergio Canello described the link between a number of disorders in dogs and cats and what they eat, and a year later his research gave rise to Forza10.
The recipes are built on a few carefully selected ingredients: mostly small fish, which thanks to their shorter lives carry a lower risk of accumulating heavy metals, or meat from extensively farmed animals.
Botanical actives that the heat of kibble production would damage are cold-pressed separately into heart-shaped tablets (Active Fresh System) that make up 7% of the mix. The kibble is made in the manufacturer’s own plant in Bagnoli di Sopra near Padua.
The Active VetDiet range offers dietetic feed for particular nutritional purposes: each recipe states its purpose on the label together with the advice to consult a veterinarian before use — so you choose the food together with your vet, according to what your dog or cat needs.
Why Forza10
- The brand was born in 1996 from veterinarian Dr Sergio Canello’s research into the link between disorders in dogs and cats and their food — behind the recipe is research into what doesn’t agree with dogs and cats, not a marketing idea
- Recipes with a few carefully selected ingredients — the fewer in the bowl, the smaller the chance that one of them won’t agree with your dog or cat
- Protein mainly from small fish and from the meat of extensively farmed animals, such as deer or lamb — small fish live shorter lives, so they carry a lower risk of accumulating heavy metals and other contaminants
- Botanical actives in heart-shaped tablets, cold-pressed separately (the patented Active Fresh System) — your dog or cat gets botanical actives undamaged by the heat of kibble production
- The Active VetDiet range: dietetic food intended for particular nutritional purposes, each with its purpose stated on the label — together with your vet you know what each food is for, and you choose the one your dog or cat needs
- More than 30 specialist publications on adverse reactions to food, and multicentre studies involving dozens of Italian veterinarians — the recipes are tested not only in the laboratory but also with dogs and cats in everyday veterinary practice
- Kibble from the manufacturer’s own plant in Bagnoli di Sopra near Padua, with an ISO 9001 quality system and more than 5,000 ingredient analyses a year — the manufacturer keeps the whole journey from ingredient to finished bag under its control
